Water Recycling
Water is becoming an important ecological issue all around the world and also in Spain. The Spanish dry climate and the rarity of rainy days call for preservation of the water supply. Therefore all grey water is recycled to use for communal and private irrigation. A water recycle unit is installed in each property aiding in the water preservation.

Solar Panels
All properties comes with fully installed solar panels. The solar panels heat the water with the natural energy of the sun and thereby reducing energy consumption and costs up to 30%.

Natural Materials
The materials used for construction are produced locally in order to cut transportation emissions. Only nontoxic natural materials are used within walls and inside the property. E.M. Sheilding
Electromagnetism can affect people in all different situations ranging from mobile phones to major power lines. Some people can experience sleeping disorders if they are subjected to strong electromagnetic fields. All properties will include a separate system to prevent electromagnetism. When the light is turned off the power in the whole circuit and connected cables is also disconnected. This will completely remove any electromagnetic fields in all rooms and ensure a better sleep. Eco Supermarket
In the Gran Monóvar Ecociudad commercial area there will be a supermarket carrying ecological products as well as regular products. We believe that ecological products is a natural step in fulfilling our ecological vision and thereby give the freedom of choice to all Gran Monóvar Ecociudad residents.

Recycling
Each property will come with waste separation bins. At the central waste collection point in Gran Monóvar Ecociudad there will be separate collection bins for glass, metal, plastic, toxic and organic material as agreed with the town hall in the Monóvar town hall. The central collection garbage bins are lowered underground to prevent smell.

1000's of trees
Thousands of partly and fully grown leafy and pine trees will be planted in Gran Monóvar Ecociudad. This has many benefits in regards to the environment. Firstly the trees convert CO² emissions to oxygen but also the leafy trees provide shade in the summer and sun in the winter time when the leafs have fallen, This is a basic principle in the large Eco architectural picture in Gran Monóvar Ecociudad.

Eco Architecture
The Eco Architectural principles of construction are many. To name a few proper insulation is key to preserve energy. Proper insulation keeps heat inside during the less warm winter months from October to March and keep the heat out during the warm summer days. The north-south orientation of the properties will provide a shady place to sit and will create a natural breeze through the property when the windows are opened. Bicycle Roads Separate bicycle roads all around Gran Monóvar Ecociudad provides safety for the children and a ecological way of transport when visiting your neighbors or going to the Gran Monóvar village center for shopping or a coffee. Intelligent Homes
All properties comes with Intelligent Home systems fully installed. With this system you will be able to regulate your energy consumption by programming lights, central power, water heating and much more. You will be able to program all electric appliances in your home so when you enter your property your entire home will come alive with a simple switch of a button. One motorized blind is included in the living room which enables you to automatically close down all light in the evening and let the sun into your living area in the morning.

Central Gas
In order to reduce electric energy consumption all properties comes with a pre-installation of central gas. All infrastructure is already in place for the central gas system and is in turn connected to the main gas distribution in Monóvar town.
