The Bell's had been looking for somewhere special to buy their dream home in which they could spend their retirement. As Robert explains they were already looking at various options in Spain, when they saw an article about Gran Monóvar Ecociudad in the Daily Express:
“With our retirement in 2010 fast approaching we had been planning for a new lifestyle for us both and were looking for somewhere to suits us in Spain. From reading the paper, Gran Monóvar Ecociudad seemed to be perfect. We were impressed by its eco-credentials and by the fact that the development is attracting a lot of local buyers. We want to be part of a community of local people not ex-pats. Being close to Alicante means it will be easy for the family to come and visit us.
“We have chosen a four bedroom villa with all of the living accommodation on the ground floor and the two bathrooms, a separate shower room and large terrace on the first floor.
“It’s in a healthy environment and large enough for all of us, it’s pedestrian and there will be plenty of green space for the grandchildren to play outside.
The Bells have already visited Gran Monóvar Ecociudad twice to meet the development team and choose their exact plot and Jacqueline has already begun Spanish lessons ready to move in at the beginning of 2010.
