As part of our commitment to making buying a home at Gran Monovar as stress free and as enjoyable an experience possible, the purchase procedure has been made as simple and easy as possible.
Please visit our page with all the legal documentation and building licenses to reassure you of the complete legality of Gran Monovar Ecociudad project. This documentation is in Spanish but can be printed and shown and confirmed by any Solicitor with knowledge of the Spanish property market.
Purchase procedure
- If you decide to purchase a property you will need your passports and at least €3,000 in either cash or credit card in order to pay a deposit.
- Once the deposit of €3.000 has been paid to the builder the property will be taken off the market. This deposit is refundable up to the date of signing the contracts.
- A reservation contract is signed by you and the builder.
- We can introduce you to an independent English speaking Solicitor who can help you go through the purchase contracts, or your can appoint your own Solicitor if you have one. The Solicitor will be your guarantee that the properties are fully legal and that the land has been approved to build on.
- The Solicitor will also be able to answer any questions you might have.
- We will help you open a Spanish bank account which will be used to transfer payments.
- When signing the contracts we will help you get a NIE number(Numero Identificatión Extranjeros). This is a Spanish ID number for non-Spaniards, required in order to own a Spanish property.
Completing the purchase
- When time comes to complete on your property you will need to visit the Notary's office to complete the contracts.
- Your Solicitor will help you with this.
